At Olathe Eye Care, our goal is to promote good eye health and enable you to have the clearest vision possible. We accept many types of vision and medical insurance, credit card, cash, and check. We also accept Care Credit as a financing option. We are happy to assist you in understanding your insurance benefits and payment options.

Vision Insurance

The knowledgeable staff at Olathe Eye Care is experienced in working with vision insurance providers. We will work directly with you and your vision insurer to submit claims regarding your vision care. We strive to ensure that you understand your insurance coverage and will answer any questions you may have regarding your benefits. Many vision plans are designed to cover most of the basic vision-related costs, but not all costs associated with eye care. Most plans require a co-payment for an office appointment, as well as additional costs that are covered by the insured patient.

Accepted Vision Plans (not a complete list):

  • EYEMED / SURENCY
  • VSP
  • HUMANA VISION
  • SUPERIOR VISION
  • AVESIS
  • SPECTERA
  • DAVIS VISION
  • NVA
  • VCD

Routine vision coverage includes standard tests only. Your physician may find necessary and recommend to do some additional medical testing. These tests would be necessary due to a finding of a medical diagnosis. If this were to occur, medical testing would then need to be submitted to your medical insurance.

Accepted Medical Plans (not a complete list):

  • AETNA
  • BCBS (most networks)
  • CIGNA
  • HUMANA (except Humana Gold)
  • MEDICARE
  • MEDICAID
  • TRICARE
  • UNITED HEALTH CARE
  • UMR

PLEASE OBSERVE: Exceptions may apply. Regardless of your insurance, please call our office to verify benefits and allow us to take the confusion out of the whole insurance process.

SELF PAY options are also available. Please call our office to discuss.

FSA/HSA Accounts

Many employers are offering Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) options to employees. Sometimes these are referred to as cafeteria plans and are elective, supplemental insurance savings plans. These plans are designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for additional medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses, contacts, and often laser vision surgery. Check with the benefits administrator at your work to see if you are eligible for this program. FSAs can typically be used in conjunction with any insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs on your behalf.

CARE CREDIT

Our staff understands that cost is a concern when evaluating vision care providers. We do not want cost to be an obstacle to maintaining proper eye health and good vision. We accept Care Credit and are able to discuss financing options with you prior to any examination.
